Mid Tenn Legal Drama May Finally Be Ending

District Attorney General Bill Gibson submitted his resignation to the governor today. It's effective July 10, preventing and election for his replacement. The next election for the office would be in 2010 so the replacement will appointed.

A string of accusations of breaking the public trust have dogged him. What finally made a difference were letters providing legal advise to a defendant. That's perfectly fine, even kind, if you aren't the District Attorney General.
