As a matter of fact, Obama chose the church 20 years ago when Wright was the preacher and has remained there for 20 years. Wright performed the Obama wedding and baptized his children. There's no room to discount Wright's bizarre comments and philosophy as surprising, new, or unassociated with Obama's 20 years of membership in Wright's church.
