Lamar Alexander on the Imigration Bill

Senator Alexander said,

“The vote today is about whether to start debate on an immigration bill –
not to pass one. I am voting yes because I am ready to go to work to secure our
borders. The Senate should stay on immigration for as many weeks as it
takes to fix our broken system.”

I applaud his action. This will give us the opportunity to learn what is there and fix it or kill it.
Better to be working on the issue than not.

Senator Alexander's visit to Cookeville will be before the vote on the bill and if you are there you can tell him what you think.
